Paper Mill Meldorf

From meadow to paper

The direct introduction of loose dry grass fibers into pellets without an additional processing step is now possible thanks to a new process at the Meldorf paper mill near Hamburg. This saves energy and is a further step towards even more sustainability. The raw material grass for the paper called “Nature-Liner®” is obtained from the region of the paper mill and comes from unfertilized green areas.

For the third year now, the Meldorf paper mill has been producing grass paper for the packaging market, which consists of a mixture of grass and recycled paper fibers. The Nature-Liner® has gained a firm place in the market with many customers and fascinates with its special surface with the delicately shimmering grass fibers.
