CERTINA GROUP has signed an agreement to acquire ISOLITE GmbH from Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd.

The CERTINA GROUP and Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd. have signed an agreement to change ownership of ISOLITE GmbH. The transaction is expected to close at the end of September 2022 – subject to German merger clearance approvals.

ISOLITE, headquartered in Ludwigshafen, Germany, is a pioneer in the development and manufacturing of tailor-made high-temperature insulation systems for automotive, industrial and aviation applications.

The transaction was managed by Nicolas Zintl, Sebastian Weindel, Maximilian Thyssen and Malte von Coburg of Houlihan Lokey together with Till Kosche and Dr. Benedikt Vogt from Noerr.

ISOLITE, with budgeted sales of EUR 100m for FY22, will strengthen the CERTINA GROUP Automotive & Mobility segment. After merger clearance ISOLITE will be led by the local management team and Dr. Stefan Brungs who spent 28 years in different leading positions of the Volkswagen Group: “My colleagues and I am very honoured, that the seller trusts in us and our long-standing automotive expertise.
